Kendells was established in 1937 by Mr Kendell, who had a chain of stores around the district.
In 1947, Mr Colin Longobardi – the father of Janet Lane, the current owner – purchased the Griffith store in central Banna Avenue. Many renovations and changes have happened over the years, creating the store it is today.
The Leeton branch of Kendells was established by Janet in 1989. It was relocated a few times to the Pine Avenue location it is in now.
Kendells Griffith and Leeton stores make up a very well-known, thriving and ever-evolving local family business, known for friendly and knowledgeable service, local community support, and beautiful, quality products.

Footwear for women, men and children, as well as women’s clothing and accessories, are available from our Kendells stores in Leeton and Griffith, and from our online store.
Our store locations are situated in the Riverina district – an oasis in the middle of New South Wales. When visitors to our towns find us they are full of praise, as our two towns are a cosmopolitan mix and our shopping strips are a shoppers paradise.
